Get Woody

Get woody this Spring with wonderful wood accessories.
Its decadent and resort-ish.
Wooden jewellery matches white perfectly for the weekend.
Wooden heels make great shoes for all occassions.
In fact, wood is so versatile this Spring, it can go with any of this Spring's hottest colours (white, yellow, blues).

Get inspired by nature today.

From the runway of Spring, Roberto Cavalli had an extensive wooden accessory collection to match the flamboyant hippie well-travelled look for his collection.

Runway looks with WOOD from Roberto Cavalli:

They appear in the following looks, which range from day to evening; from chill-out to party:

For the casual shopping trip or lunch out, wear with layers of jewellery, a roomy black bag, a little skirt and a hint of colour.

Chillout at your resort/holiday abode with this eclectic look that has a mishmash of suede, prints and gladiator sandals.

For that sporty, casual look, wear with shorts, aviator sunglasses and a shrunken shirt. Sneakers would work too, if you don't really care for red gladiators (like me).

For evening resort, slip into rich satin embriodery and layer on the accessories.

Look long, lean and with clean lines with white pants, shrunken cardi, and an oversized white vest. And add on a belt with bling for extra party glam.

SHOPPING

Of course, you don't really have to go ALL wood. Bamboo, shell or anything nature-inspired and brown in colour should work.

Don't like bangles? Go for cuffs.

Don't want to clash with your watch? Get a necklace.

Too casual for the office? Wear wooden heels.

My take?

I would wear a brightly coloured slightly oversized vest with khaki shorts, a low slung woven belt in a darker brown. Pair it with my metallic gold T-bar flats, and of course, add on my little handpainted Topshop wooden bangle.
