The Look Book for Fall'05 - (G)

Well, this is the last Look Book. Its gets kind of tiring and boring after a while to sieve through the same runway pictures for shots that fit my look books.

So, final post will be about the colours for Fall.

Black and White

I don't have to go into much detail into this as I have posted sooo many things about Black already. Yes, black is the new black, black is back blah blah...
Black was never gone in the first place.

The thing about black is that it exudes some sort of sophistication, like an artsy intelligent person. It is kind of mysterious (mainly in an all black ensemble), and it hides your flaws. It fits most skin types except the very very fair.

But I think for those "showy" items like bags and shoes, where flaws need not be hidden, black should be the last resort. Sure, everyone should own a pair of black shoes and a black bag at least, but it can be extremely boring...I mean, I carry my black hobo bag when I can't think of anything else to go with my outfit, cos black just simply blends in.

And white, thats a more risky colour. White sorta enhances everything. It makes the tanned bod look more tanned, the fair skinned look even fairer.
It can bring attention to your curves or lack of. But white is also sophisticated and most importantly a "clean" colour. Like black, it also exudes sophistication, but of a different kind.

I can't really explain it.

It's like seeing a drama student in all black and then seeing a woman on a beach in all white.

Both are well..intriguing and elegant.

Collections from Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and Prada had mostly all black pieces, but Versace had a few stunning white ones too.

So anyway, with black being back and all, so is the Little Black Dress (LBD).

Some pretty Lolita LBDS:

Purple would be the real "trendy" colour this Fall because black and whites are perennials and can never go wrong.
Purple was shown in several shows like Prada, Marc Jacobs, Gucci etc. There were a lot of purple accessories (safest) and many purple items were also made of velvet, another "trendy" item this fall.
