Ad Campaigns for Fall - I

A three parter series for a taste of what is to come:

Hollywood star Uma Thurman has been chosen as the face of Louis Vuitton fall/winter 2005-2006 ad campaign. But, in contrast to her previous “stark industrial” campaign, this time the actress is captured in a more intimate atmosphere with rich colours and sumptuous still-life orchids on the background.

The campaign, shot again by Mert Alas et Marcus Piggot, reflects luxury and sophistication of the latest collection by the company's artistic director Marc Jacobs, inspired by the golden age of Vienna in the 1920s.

"The mood is deeper, more mysterious, very different than in the past. Uma is an incredibly beautiful woman and a great actress, the perfect choice to capture the new spirit of enigmatic charm and timeless glamour," Marc Jacobs said in a statement, according to FWD.

In the first ads, to come out in August, the Pulp Fiction star will be depicted with the iconic Louis Vuitton Ellipse bag in monogram canvas.

The shots of leather goods and men’s ready-to-wear, featuring models Christian Jorgensen, Jeremy Dufour and Chris Faroux, have also been filled with exalting impression of Middle Europe of the early 20th century and the elegance of Rudolf Nureyev.

The campaign for today's most profitable luxury brand in the world was styled by Katie Grand, with hair done by Guido Palau and makeup by Charlotte Tilbury.
