IT Jacket

This fall, there isn't so much of a "trend" for jackets.

There were poufy black Peter-pan collared ones at LV, crazy-patterned ethnic ones at Kenzo, shrunken fitted blazers at Valentino, leather cropped ones at Moschino, tasselled ponchos at Alexander McQueen, fur-collars at D&G, loose coats at Galliano and much more.

Designs range from the highly tailored to the totally deconstructed, but most of the more special ones are injected with tons of imagination and creativity.
So when the Fall collections start trickling in, I would say, the more different, unique and crazy, the better!

Some to look out for:

Oversized, baggy coats at Junya Wantabe

I absolutely love the design of this cropped and shrunken blazer at Valentino

So gorgeous. A poncho with a collar. A little hippie and ethnic with the colour and embellishments, and such a great shape at Alexander McQueen.

Another gorgeous deconstructed jacket at Stella McCartney. I see it being one of the most coveted pieces this Fall.

Not loving the colour, but rather the added detail of this Viktor and Rolf jacket: the ruffle and ribbon tie - important trends for Fall.

A little less crazy than the above pieces but still unique with the colour patterns. Much more friendly for us tropical dwellers. By AF Vandervorst.
