Must have bag

I'm not good at blogging about bags and constantly seeking out nice bags bores me after a while. But for many women out there, bagging the right tote is of extreme importance and getting the IT bag or the Must-Have seems to be the top of their list of things to do when Fall creeps in.

Anyway, you know the IT bag makers already (Chloe, Mulberry etc) so I won't go into the usual list of Paddingtons, Silverados and Giseles.

One of the must-have bags on my list would be the Mulberry Tooled Bayswater.

This bag above is in coconut and is available for $1,195 at Barneys. However, it is not the above style that is the must-have.

Instead it is the 4X Multi coloured Bayswater that I covet. It is only available online at the Mulberry website and I wasn't able to find a picture of it. However, here's a picture of a 4X Multi Mulberry clutch in the same style.

The bold colours are striking and Fall-friendly. The studs (is that what you call them?) and sewed on applique fit the cowgirl trend this Fall. The shape however, remains very classic with a Birken style structure. The postman's lock with the flower detail also adds that feminity. Check out the 4X Multi at the website and don't settle for anything less. (I simply don't get it when people intend to buy a bag of a particular style and colour and when they can't find it, they just settle for another colour. Don't settle! Never. If you don't like the particular style/colour, why buy it just because of the brand?)

For those looking for something more affordable, Banana Republic has a luxurious yet affordable Bloomsbury collection.

The pocket tote above has the western flair with the tassles and the utility pockets and I love the roomy size and the way it slouches on the shoulder. Very practical. I could carry it to school too! Currently out of stock and priced at $300.

Miu Miu also has a collection of remade classic bags that fit Fall.

The shearling doctor bag on the left would make a warm addition to your workplace, while the velvet twiggy on the right with the vintage-ish pattern would be good for the many end-of-year parties you are going to attend.

A cheaper alternative: MAXX Inc

This turn-lock velvet chain bag has all the right things for fall: purple, velvet, gold, chain strap. The look is victorian and vintage and would make a fantastic finish to a sixties-style outfit you might be sporting at a party. Definitely not for everyone though. It can make the look too dressy and old.

For a younger, more trendy alternative, a cute clutch would be nice. Arden B has a smashing collection of clutches in unbelievable prices!

This beaded embrioded clutch has such a beautiful oriental pattern and is going at only $48! Embriodery was seen on several collections this fall, including Miu Miu, so for those looking for something trendy, this is a safe bet.

So that's it about bags.
Remember, don't settle!
