In spite of the serious financial difficulties that they faced this summer, Clements Ribeiro made a success with their collection of 19 models for S/S 2006. There were small cotton summer dresses, cashmere shorts and cardigans, prints in rounds (circle prints are going to be hot next year), florals and stripes, colours in black and white with other keys pieces in green, purple and red.

The simple gladiator wedge shoes were a marvellous idea and the chichi floppy hats added great detail. The atmosphere was relaxed and chill-out casual, not at all reflecting on the sombre financial state of affairs at Ribero. Let's hope they get out of the mess to give us more come Fall.
