The Camisole Dress

One black dress that is wearable for day is the lacy camisole dress worn by Ashley Olsen on the top. Worn over jeans, or simply by itself in an all black ensemble (boots, heels, hairband etc) it works and can last for this season and the next.

The Juicy Couture Satin Camisole Dress is firstly, thank god, not made of terry cloth. Secondly, the lace trimming at the hem and the neckline isn't overly- sweet and adds that lovely detail. The shade of black and the gorgeous satin would work perfectly on anyone. It's not a figure hugging piece and has a drop waist so you don't have to worry about the satin clinging to your every pound of flesh. I'm not a fan of ribbon ties (very typical Juicy Couture) but it works okay here.

And like Ashley did it, worn under a motorcycle jacket, it can pass off as rock and roll chic. Worn over a pair of jeans, its sassy streetwear. Wear it alone with boots and there you've got the whole Kate Moss thing going on.

It retails at US$145 at Net-a-porter, so it's the perfect end of the year treat for yourself.

Juicy Couture should do more of these and less of the towel stuff.
