Something different

While Tom Ford has created the Youth Dew perfume for Estee Lauder, another fragrance, poles apart from Paul Smith has been launched. 'Floral', is a lovely evocation of the 70's 'Flower Power' spirit. With water lily, orange, pink grapefruit and ginger and a unique blend of magnolia, orchid and osmanthus blossom. The base notes resonate with musk, amber, exotic wood essences and tonka beans. It comes in a metal case with a white lacquered opaque bottle, and obviously targets the younger crowd or those who love everything retro.

Meanwhile, all magazine perfume samples smell the same. Like glossy magazine paper - a heady mixture of sterile hospital aroma and the scent of freshly printed money.
