A/W'06 - Alexander McQueen

Kate Moss hologram aside, I thought McQueen had the best take on plaid so far, with scottish tartan reconstructed to sexy dresses and skirts. The skirt on the far right looks like an idea that the highstreet designers might want to take up for Fall.

I liked McQueen's Brit-Scot-Victorian style and the references to regal medival costumes reminded me of Dolce & Gabbana's collection as well.

I also loved his use of brocade and golds which gave a regal air about the clothes. And the shoes rocked. I'm especially in love with the third brocade wedge.
